Dance: Amen
Dance: Amen

As part of International Dance Day, the piece Amén, by the company El Magatzem, will be performed.

The main monotheistic religions (Christianity, Judaism and Islam) are based on sacred texts written by men. This performance aims to make visible the female soul, subjected for centuries by all religions. Thus, Catholicism venerates the Virgin Mary with its ironic “immaculate conception”, as if conceiving with pleasure were a sin. The show reveals how misogyny is present in all religions to grant absolute power to the will of men and, moreover, with the approval of God our Lord… Amen!

A powerful and critical piece that includes a discussion after the performance.
