Although calçotadas have been taking place for a few months in several towns across the county, the peak of the season begins with the Great Calçotada Festival of Valls, which, as usual, was held on the last Sunday of January.
Coinciding with this event, the IGP Calçot de Valls launched an advertising campaign to promote calçots under this quality designation. The IGP Calçot de Valls is committed to offering consumers calçots of the highest quality. It is worth noting that IGP Calçot de Valls calçots are easy to identify, as the bundles are tied with a blue plastic ribbon and carry a label certifying their quality.
You can taste these magnificent calçots until March in restaurants across Alt Camp, and you can also buy them in shops, farm shops, and specialized producers affiliated with the IGP Calçot de Valls.
