The Cister Route launches a dedicated website for the GR 175
The county councils of Alt Camp, Conca de Barberà and Urgell, promoters of the Cister Route, have launched a specific website dedicated to the GR 175, a high-quality hiking and cycling itinerary that crosses some of the most emblematic landscapes of the three counties.

The GR 175 itinerary is currently the second most visited topic on the Cister Route website (www.larutadelcister.info), after the Cistercian monasteries. This fact has led to the creation of a platform that makes it easier to plan the route and provides updated and essential information to complete the GR safely and in an environmentally responsible way. The website addresses the main needs and queries of hikers and cycle tourists, and becomes a new resource for enjoying the surroundings of the monasteries of Santes Creus, Poblet and Vallbona, as well as the natural and cultural heritage of the towns along the route.

The new website includes detailed descriptions of the stages on foot or by mountain bike, information on accommodation and services, family routes around the monasteries, and itineraries adapted for people with disabilities. It also offers recommendations for travelling safely and respectfully in the natural environment, along with a section featuring informative and relevant content for GR 175 users. Currently, the website is available in Catalan, and Spanish and other language versions will be added progressively.

With this initiative, funded by the European Union’s NextGeneration funds, the councils that form part of the Cister Route reaffirm their commitment to sustainable tourism, the quality of the visitor experience, and the promotion of the natural and cultural environment of the counties of Alt Camp, Conca de Barberà and Urgell.
